What will we be looking for in candidates?
The Sierra Space Human Spaceflight Center will be looking for individuals who have:
- Strong emotional intelligence and the ability to work well with others as a team
- Varied experience: advanced degrees are welcome, but we also will be looking for people with a wide breadth of skills. Astronauts do everything on orbit - from robotic operations to manufacturing to scientific experimentation.
- Sierra Space is committed to diversity and inclusion. A wide array of experiences and perspectives is vital in space as well as on Earth.

Train to be a Commercial Astronaut
Sierra Space will be offering our astronaut courses to external students.
- Learn how to live and work in space culminating in executing an analog mission in our mockups.
- Experience space adaptation training such as zero-g flights and high-g centrifuge runs.
- Participate in the outdoor leadership classes to see if you have what it takes to become a commercial astronaut.
